Haganai : The NEXT Marathon

And again, I was able to convince my brother to finish up the second season of Haganai as well.

Even more fun and antics, now with short hair Yozora! More Rika (and her various cosplays), more Kobato, more Meat/Sena, more Yukimura and more fun!

Some the love and relationships get more serious as the fight for Kodaka and for the club's sake converge! Frankly though I don't remember much fine details (due to the nature of marathoning), I still find this to be a great sequel to an already nice show. Now, I'm patiently waiting for the eventual second season: the journey to find Yozora and reunite the club!

Haganai Marathoned

I marathoned the series with my bro today. After being stalled on episode 4 for a while, I decided to get the whole series randomly, and just watch as much as I can. Turns out my bro really likes it too so we just marathoned the thing.

The characters are fun and so are all the antics! At first I thought it was going to go the typical harem route, but the way they handled it was quite okay.

I like Rika, despite the fact that she's a crazy fujoshi. Kodoka is a pretty nice MC too, and of course Kobato is great. Yozora sometimes gets too extreme, but that's part of her charm. Same with Meat Sena too, though someone I was ticked off at her at first, but again she's alright. And then of course Yukimura, being the trap maid samurai.

Legend of the What?

RO2 official released today...

And I completely forgot about it while playing TERA instead.

Frankly, though it did end up being a nice nostalgia fest, it was missing way too much of what made the original so good (other than the grindinest). Plus, I heard there was now full English voice acting? I actually kind of liked the Korean since hearing bad English VAs in RPGs is always a let down (like TERA).

In the end I actually didn't even boot up my client to download the new out-of-beta update. I'll just keep it there and listen to the conveniently MP3 BGM music instead.

Sad that after all these years of waiting, it was quite a letdown. I would play it a bit more, but there's really not much left to try.

Park, Soccer, Fish, Ice Cream, Elixir

The events of the day, in reverse order:

We visited some Ice Cream/gelato/yogurt place. Since it's by the weight, the pricing was almost always going to be off. I didn't get any since I got to...

Randomly visit the Japanese food/snack store downtown. The inside ice cream booth was closed sadly. However, I got my $2 Calpis/Calpico. Precious elixir for cheap.

We went to a chicken wing place. We didn't get the spicy stuff, but I did get the daily special : a fish sandwich. If you want a decently cheaper item, just get daily specials. There were large amount of varied fries (potato and yam) plus huge onion rings. It was decent and quite filling.

We were heading back to the bus to find food, but the park was quite big so we were walking around and around for a while.

We had fun times in the park. Frisbee catching, soccer playing, food eating, and ginger ale spilling. It's a good thing the mat I had was wooden.
