Learning about the Mind begins

Well today was quite interesting.

At first I got a chance to play with a new phone and quickly do fun stuff with it (if you know what I mean).

Then I got to make it work for my dad.

Then I got this class about Cognitive Science. The study of the mind. And behaviour perhaps. Sounds quite a bit like Psychology to me. Except even broader, so much so that the professor even stated that the course would seem a bit disconnected at times.

Turing Machine, Skinner, etc etc. From Comp Sci to Psycho.

In between all that I discovered a few little Touhou apps for the Android. Now I got this little cute battery meter plus some toggles! Hooray!

Trick or Treat 2012

It's Halloween!

Zombie Cirno! | Source

And I stayed in school for the most part. Hooray...

But anyways, I saw quite some little kids in some cute costumes. Mostly in the mall though, since it was raining like crazy. It was nice to see that Power Rangers is still there as a costume, albeit the Samurai version.

And another not-quite Halloween news is that I got a great deal on 5 volumes of a certain space school manga that is out of print at the moment. I guess it helps that it was unpopular, even though it was so good. Hopefully I can retrieve the rest before the prices skyrocket too far. It's already pretty crazy for 2 - soon to be 3 - volumes.

I also got a sketchbook that will most certainly use this time around. No more "precious sketchbook" syndrome for me. 200 pages is a lot to sketch on.

To end this mainly off-topic post, here's some Touhou Halloween pictures I grabbed from pixiv. Tons more to look at, but these are a select few.

Cool watercolours and the oh-so-popular Halloween witch Marisa! (and Reimu) | Source

And another for Marisa. Looking really... sweet. | Source

A cool mousepad has arrived!

No pictures cause privacy, but I just got a cool and a little bit spicy with a tiny bit of fat (Sorry Letty!) mousepad from that one mousepad promotion that was happening.

Still haven't taken it out the plastic, but boy does it look nice.

Fantasy Kaleidoscope 幻想万華鏡「華鳥風月」PV

Nico

Well now, it seems there's a new PV out for another Touhou fan anime of the 幻想万華鏡 (Fantasy Kaleidoscope) Memories of Phantasm project. The animation is as excellent as always.

Final Fantasy Touhou in MMD

Very awesome stuff.

The Power of The Super Moon Princess

She flips tables. Like a moon princess should.

The whole "Super Moon" business reminds me of this little "game" that involves Kaguya Houraisen, princess from the moon, flipping a table over and over for great glory. Fun times. Also, I miss Walfas/KirbyM's flashes. Those were the days.

幻想万華鏡~Memories of Phantasm

That other Touhou Anime thing. Fan-made, and very beautifully done. I never knew it was dubbed until today, and I'm sure it beats watching it with "the voiceless" Touhou characters.

And it's all dubbed by one person too! Amazing how much one person can do. Like ZUN himself, doujin people sure are dedicated.
