Wasting my summer break by watching things I'd rather not play. Great.
I
was apprehensive to play this game, so I just went and watched some
Let's Plays. Makes the experience a bit less scary and a lot more funny.
I'll play the game someday... maybe. Just like how I'll finish Yume
Nikki and play Ao Oni and all those other creepy scary games.

Idolm@ster Episode 26 PV
Well sort of. It's the 26th episode chronologically released, but who knows if this will end up being a big side story for the main show. Anyways, it's good to see some more Idolm@ster again. This thing was revealed in the live show yesterday. Looks to be an episode with many small stories, probably wrapped up in the end. Iori and Yayoi sleep over sounds like a drama CD scene.

Nico Nico Chokaigi Day 2: Live and Idols
Just some random watching again. Mostly watch this, which was mostly a concert featuring the Yuru Yuri girls, Hyadain, some Idolm@ster idols, Nagareda Project, may'n, AeLL (some idol group), Faylan, and probably some others too.
It was quite fun indeed, although I sadly missed part of the Idolm@ster part. They did live voice overs for some fan submitted Novelm@sters (skits sort of visual novel style, unvoiced originally). Then they ended with "READY!!". The Yuru Yuri girls were pretty good. Too bad the stream sound quality wasn't that good, cause most the instruments sounded weird.
Then there's an Aniplex idol event happening. Some about Weiss Scharz, the card game. And also Lawson, the convenience store chain, with Idolm@ster.

Nico Nico Chokaigi Day 1: FIRST NIGHT
Yeah, today was the first day of this huge Nico Nico themed convention. The big event was the FIRST NIGHT concert. Sadly, I didn't spend the $25 dollars on a ticket so I only caught bits and pieces of it. Various acts by Vocaloid producers, Touhou doujin, Idolm@ster idols, JAM Project and a whole bunch of others.
And http://www.chokaigi.jp/ is the site for event info and such.

Natsuiro Kiseki 1: A wishful start to the summer
[the Sphere girls in OP shot doing karaoke stuff -or- the sphere girls as their younger selves]
A great summer adventure featuring the four Sphere idol group girls doing what they do best: being Seiyuu. But really, it seems a tiny bit mystical and lot of slice of life, so that's pretty good. Also, the animation is quite excellent, so that's a plus.
I find it funny how they mention the in-universe "Four Seasons" as being a used-to-be popular idol group, that one of the girls still fangirls over. I feel like this is their way of doing satire about themselves, since I really don't see them that often anymore. Also, I feel their anime songs are better than their normal albums. Perhaps generic anisong is better than generic J-pop.
Anyways this series seems to be a pretty easy watch, so I'll continue watching, if only for the good animation and the Sphere girls.

Ryo Akizuki in a Dazzling World
Quite nice to see this in PS3 quality finally. Somehow he looks more girlish and boyish with these new graphics. Let's wait for the his G4U to come out, before we have a finally verdict.
He also sings Kiramekirari. I haven't heard his version before, and it sounds pretty different from what I'm used to. Still would've liked "shiny smile" more, but oh well.
Now to wait for "HELLO!!" trio DLC, I hope.

Sakamichi no Apollon 1: First Jazz Jam Session
[that jazzy jam session]
That was actually unexpectedly enjoyable. Well, other than me expecting some nice tunes, there was some great character moments and hints of romance everywhere! And here I was expecting some K-on, but jazz. Waiting for the next episode!

Hyouka 1 : Those Curious Eyes
[sparkly eyes of the one and only Chitanda Eru]
Well that somehow met my expectations with an added twist to it. I though it was going to be quite a slow paced show with MYSTERY time being a moderate part of it. It was that and then some. Those eyes. And of course the interesting character's personality and traits. Those really grabbed my attention.
Of course it's Kyoto Animation doing their thing with the beautiful animation and those eyes. As an added bonus, the used classical music for the BGM. And they had a Choucho song for the OP! Her voice is as wonderful as always.

Stella's Great Adventure!
Arson is no big deal in Chartreux City |
Hooray for more Fortune Summoners. Just got to the point where it's Stella's turn to shine! I hope she isn't just a super stuck up rich snob, but rather a rich snob with a heart of gold buried deep within. Or in this case, a heart of FIRE.
Also, that last dungeon was a pain to go through. Probably already gone through more than 50 healing items including taiyaki, Melshee Chocolate, herbs, slime beans, more herbs, and probably some other exotic things. I'm certainly missing Sana's healing abilities and long range support. I hope Stella will help out with her FIRE power.

Sankarea 1 : Not a Zombie Yet
[insert episode 1 screencap here]
Well, that was quite good. Having read the manga and finally seeing it animated is great. I really like the voices they used, and the animation is almost too good. It has some SHAFT-style vibes. Now what else is there to like? The OP was nice, hearing Nano.RIPE's signature style is always good.
Now what could've been different? I guess the pacing of it all seemed really quick. But for a first episode, I'm sure it'll grab the attention of anybody watching it.
Looking forward to the next episode!
Time to continue through my backlog of current Spring 2012 anime.

Arche and the Skeleton that won't move on
And by die you mean "move on". |
Finally got around to playing Fortune Summoners again. Boy, the controls are still kind of hard to get used to. Soloing as Sana seems almost impossible since the cast rate is too slow. Unless I span "DIAMOND DUST" or whatever that skill is, but alas I am too cheap to buy MP pots. Arche and her Down Stab is amazing. So much power.

Idolmaster Evangelion PV
Crappy 240p Youtube quality for now. Check out the Nico for much better apocalyptic singing and dancing.
Saw this some months ago, but recently watched the thing again. It feels different, since I've completed the Idolm@ster anime finally. Still pretty amazing though.

CINDERELLA MASTER - Anzu no Uta sample
Anzu's Song yeah!
It's really crazy and kind of cacophonous, but it is a little bit catchy. It certainly suits Anzu's NEET style, but it's incredibly hyper for someone so lazy. But then again, she doesn't really sing for most of the song, so that could be showing her laziness.

Nico
Short for "Miku Miku Dance Dissidia Final Fantasy. This was done for the 8th MMD Cup this year. I've never played Dissidia FF, but this is some impress work. The voice acting and over the top competitors make it very hilarious. Watch it for Wakamoto-Cat alone.

It's Haruka's Birthday! Haruka's Birthday!
The title is fail attempt at copying the whole "___ desuyo! ___!" thing that Haruka does, except translated.
Anyways, this little video is yet another MMD with cool effects.
And I'll grab the birthday banner when it gets officially posted or something.

CINDERELLA MASTER 001-005 samples
Well then, I'd make a post about how wonderful the April Fool's jokes were, but I guess this is pretty important too.
Kaede's song is pretty much the top contender here. Rin and Kanako's songs were pretty good too. Rika's song was... average I guess. Anzu's is a cacophany, but I believe that's part of the character, as it seems to be referencing various anime and video games (like Agent Yoru o Yuku).
All in all, it seems like the potential for these few Cinderella Girls. I hope they'll continue and have Miho and Kirari (among others) getting CDs.
