I just finished "Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere" (aka Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon) season 1.
I guess it's a good thing I finished now since the next season is starting up next month.
I got to say, with the really colourful cast it has, it was a lot of fun to watch. The way Aoi Tori was able to save Horizon was also quite a sight to behold.

GO MY WAY!! 7th LIVE In-game Version
How quick are they!? This was practically released on the day (or a day after) the 7th Anniversary Live.
Anyways, this is pretty much a game rendition of GO MY WAY!! done live, with the cheering and probably the various idols singing. The Rainbow colour changing dresses were a nice touch.

The STRONGEST MINI TANK! Happy Birthday Ai!
The Strongest! |
Today the 25th of June is Ai Hidaka's Birthday! Just 2 days after Ritsuko's.
She definitely has one of the strongest voices in the Idolm@ster, and it shows when she sings her signature song ALIVE. Oh how I love that song.
Anyways, time for ARUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

Japanese Book Loot Part 3+4 of 4
And that's it for now. BookOff Vancouver is closing down tomorrow and there's nothing to be done other than scavenging off their crazy deals right now.
So the loot for #3 shopping trip was:
-Some guy wants to go to a university to fulfill a childhood promise. Volumes 8 and 9.
-A fight to be the lord of ghost handlers : Random guidebook.
-The first of many fights that this guy does using red gloves. First volume.
And the loot for #4 (today) was:
-Magical teacher teaches a huge class of girls. Volumes 1 to 10!
-Some rain goddess story that's completely obscure and way too short. Volumes 1 & 2 (complete)
-Some short story by the same artist as above. One volume only.
-A crazy seinen story that looks almost shounen has crazy fighting and should have a great trap. First volume.
-A girl is depressed and goes to live with some other stranger girl. Volumes 1 & 2.
-More of the university childhood promise stuff. Volumes 5 & 6. Sad that I couldn't get the complete set.
-Three girls and their three vehicles: A tank, a plane, and a submarine. Volume 1.
-A gritty saga of war and one man. Volume 1.
-A great big guide book for a fighting game of an anime that does not exist. Volume Re-Act.
-Wacky stories about love triangles in a school, that supposedly ended with a train wreck. Volumes 1 to 15!
And that's all. Next time I got to a BookOff or whatever, I'm finishing the whole set for the childhood university promise story.

Read or Die OVA : Completed
Finally!
I just recently found out a local library had the DVD set, so I had to borrow it to finally watch it. After all these years of loving the two manga series, I've been meaning to get around to watching it.
As somewhat expected, the majority of the scenes are action-packed, but with unorthodox weapons and styles used. And of course there's the great Yomiko Readman and her silly yet awesome personality. Along with her, there's the anime original Nancy Makuhari, Drake and Joker.
As usually, OVAs like this always seem a bit lacking due to their shortness. Still, it's a great experience and now it's time to watch the TV series with the ever-so-great Paper Sisters.

【MAD】 Idolm@ster 【未完成交響曲】
Nico
Original song by "ONE OK ROCK". Spoilers everywhere!
Pretty nicely made MAD that again emphasizes the whole "Danketsu" unity part of the anime, even with the focus on Chihaya's and Haruka's arcs.
And in other news, finished my final for my Japanese course today. It wasn't bad.

Double Yukipo EXCAVATE (Dig Dug)
One of those Double Yukipo comparison/mix videos, so both Yurishii and Azumin are singing. This one is from those Famison Idolm@ster albums and it's an arrange/cover of the Dig Dug theme.
It seems like Yurishii has the soft but strong voice, while Azumin has a cutesy voice. All in all it's a nice mix with both of them together.
In other news, episode 26 of Idolmaster was amazing. More on that when the subs come out.

Guitar Solo COME ON! Compilation
All the "Guitar Solo COME ON!" portions of "Kiramekirari" sung by every single one of the idols from 765Pro and even 876Pro. It even includes the slightly different M@STER versions of Yayoi's Kiramekirari, as well as Yukiho's old and new voice actors. Pretty neat.

Summer 2012: One more week of classes (sort of)
Yep. Starting tomorrow, it'll be the last week for classes. Or at least one of my classes.
Also went out to eat some sushi with some friends today. Man it's so expensive.

K-on!! MANIAC Parody : GO! GO! HELLOWORK
This is an awesome parody of the 2nd season K-on!! anime's first OP "GO! GO! MANIAC" done by someone known as "弟の姉". Only found this somewhat recently, but I can't help but laugh at all the crazy lyrics for this parody. 弟の姉 also done a whole bunch of other parody songs, but seems to have started doing more original songs recently.
Check out more of her stuff at her fairly decent sized mylist here. Enjoy.
And another thing, it seems like K-on's final college chapter has come out. I still haven't caught up on the 2nd season, but it's still a sad feeling to see it go. I'll marathon the thing when I finish my classes up.

Japanese Book Loot Part 2 of ?
Went again today, although I just went and picked up something I overlooked yesterday. Not a big deal at all, though I did spend at least an hour browsing the whole manga section again.
Loot for today is simple:
-Completed series with garbage in SPACE. Had a pretty well received anime.
Also, today I had the shocking realization that School Rumble was NOT wrapped up very well. Sad to hear, since I've been on hold for that series since volume 8. Oh well, looks like I won't be getting that huge set anymore.

Japanese Book Loot Part 1 of ?
Well, today I just came back from Japanese book shopping. There's this local place that has a pretty great selection, though sadly I couldn't find half the things I wanted. However, there were a few gems that are now going to be the cornerstone of my (small) collection.
Pictures later maybe.
Stuff includes:
- That one depressing story about a small bird guy.
- A story about some that loves books, and fights crime.
- A story related to the above, but with sisters instead.
- Something that is related to a wooden stick sport.
