Just started playing around with the various CSS preprocessors. I had to install Ruby, so I just went with the full Rails installer. The instructions were a tiny bit vague, but I got through them.
Then I switched out for the JS compiled preprocessor. So far it works fine too, though the initial problem with Chrome was kind of annoying. Thank goodness for my previous installing of WAMP.
Also, I finally decided to cave and join the ranks of Sublime Text users. I've been using Notepad++ for a while and it worked fine. But Sublime Text is just so nice, I can't look back anymore.
